Composite Health Risk Assessment Model (CHARM)

The Composite Health Risk Assessment Model (CHARM) to Predict 1-Year Non-Relapse Mortality (NRM) Among Older Recipients of Allogeneic Transplantation
(A Prospective BMT-CTN Study 1704)

Geriatric Assessment (GA) and biomarkers have emerged as promising tools that refine estimates of risk-stratification of Non-Relapse Mortality (NRM). We hypothesized that a combination of health assessments by GA and biomarkers would constitute a robust and valid model, CHARM, for accurate personalized estimation of one-year (1-yr) NRM.

Calculate Non-Relapse Mortality (NRM) Risk In Older Patients

Predicting 1-Year NRM Using Composite Health Risk Assessment Model (CHARM)

Probability of developing Non-Relapse Mortality (NRM) by 1-year

This tool is meant to aide physicians or other healthcare providers in evaluating patients 60 years and older planning allogeneic transplant.

In the original study, the patient data was collected within 21 days of conditioning and biomarkers of albumin and CRP within 14 days of conditioning. Age was at the time of transplantation.
