CIBMTR has established compliance programs to ensure timely and accurate submission of data to the CIBMTR Research Database. This data supports CIBMTR’s goal of promoting collaborative research that increases access and improves outcomes of all cellular therapies.

CIBMTR Data Compliance includes:

CIBMTR, in collaboration with the worldwide hematopoietic cell transplantation community, developed appropriately organized forms to capture a standard set of data elements for all transplant recipients.
CIBMTR has established processes to assess and close any gaps that exist in data reported to the C.W. Bill Young Cell Transplantation Program (CWBYCTP).
CIBMTR maintains a Data Quality Mart (DQM) that uses scripted checks to identify and track high-impact data issues, enabling rapid outreach to correct issues as well as providing transparency to support decision-making and reporting.

As part of the on-going data quality program, the CIBMTR conducts data quality audits at regular intervals to ensure the accuracy of data submitted to the CIBMTR’s observational database by comparing submitted data with source documentation at transplant centers qualifying for audit. The audits identify errors that otherwise would go undetected by the online validations built into the data entry program.
